Best For: Kitchen & Bathroom 

Benefits: Budget-friendly, Easy to install and maintain, Comfortable underfoot 

Downsides: Lower resale value than natural materials, Can fade in direct sunlight

Laminate

Key Features:  Durable composite core with printed wood design 

Best For: Kitchen (Not ideal for full wet bathrooms)

Benefits: • Affordable and stylish • Scratch-resistant • Wide variety of styles

Downsides: • Not waterproof (unless upgraded version) • Can swell if exposed to moisture over time

Porcelain Tile

Key Features: Dense, waterproof, stain-resistant ceramic-based tile

Best For: Kitchen & Bathroom

Benefits: • Extremely durable • Ideal for high-moisture areas • Available in countless colors and patterns

Downsides: • Hard and cold underfoot • Requires proper subfloor and grout sealing

Ceramic Tile

Key Features: Kiln-fired clay tile, less dense than porcelain 

Best For: Bathroom & light-use Kitchens

Benefits: • Affordable and easy to clean • Moisture-resistant • Versatile design options

Downsides: • More prone to cracking than porcelain • Hard underfoot and colder in winter

Engineered Hardwood

Key Features: Real wood veneer over a plywood core

Best For: Kitchen (with moisture care), not ideal for bathrooms

Benefits: • Real wood look with better stability • Easier to install than solid hardwood • Higher home value impact

Downsides: • Not waterproof • Prone to scratching and denting

Marble
